Angular correlation in neutron β decay (aCORN)
Neutrons are unstable and decay into a proton, an electron and an anti-neutrino. The aCORN experiment was carried out at NIST to measure the angular correlation coefficient ‘a’ between the electron and neutrino (the so-called little-a coefficient). The result is reported in G. Darius et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 119, 042502 (2017).
