Historical Achievements
The present Center for Exploration of Energy and Matter (CEEM) has developed from the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility (IUCF). The latter was a center for nuclear physics research which featured a large cyclotron and operated as an international user facility. In this section, the following major achievements from that era are reviewed.
- Indiana University Cyclotron Facility (1976-2010)
- "Cooler" Storage Ring, Electron Cooling (1983-2003)
- Medical and Commercial Use of IUCF
A large fraction of research is being carried out by IU scientists as members of larger national or international collaborations. Information about projects that have been concluded is given here.
