CEEM graduate student Jacob Zettlemoyer has received the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) award to work on the CENNS-10 Liquid Argon detector at the Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL) Spallation Neutron Source for the next year. This effort is part of the COHERENT neutrino experiment, an effort to detect the never-before-seen neutrino coherent scattering process.
Jacob is a third year Ph.D. student working with Prof. Rex Tayloe at CEEM, and while at ORNL, he will be mentored by ORNL scientist, Dr. Jason Newby.
