Project 8 is a direct neutrino mass experiment based on the tritium endpoint technique.  The neutrino is a fundamental particle, and its unknown mass is significant across the fields of nuclear, particle, and astro-physics.  The goal of Project 8 is to combine an atomic tritium source with the cyclotron radiation emission spectroscopy technique, in order to measure the mass of the neutrino. Registration can be paid in person by check or online by credit card through IU’s conference registration system.

Travel Guidance

Arriving By Plane

Visitors to Bloomington fly into the Indianapolis Airport. Bloomington is located approximately 50 miles south of Indianapolis. Major car rental companies are located at the airport, and Classic Touch Limousine, and GoExpress Shuttle provide direct service to the Bloomington area.

 

Accommodation

A block of rooms has been reserved for meeting participants at the heart of campus, Indiana University Memorial Union's Biddle Hotel. Parking is available at the Biddle Hotel for $6/night, charged to your hotel folio.

Visiting Bloomington

Parking on Campus

Please use the Travel Coordination Spreadsheet to coordinate carpooling. There are relatively few Visitor spaces at MES Hall, indicated with a "V" sign. Please utilize these spots exclusively.
